How would you best describe where you live in poetry?

Lost in yellow haze

People lost in yellow haze know you have to feel it, just like the warm sun on your face.

It has to touch you in some way just like the setting sun at the end of the day.

It has to provoke an emotional reaction, the radiating warmth of the yellow haze...

Yellow is the colour

to describe my place
yellow fever
sunshine
every day

Bright yellow sand
changes to mellow yellow
once a sizzling wave
touches the shore,
stepping on something hard
ouch
a spiky yellowish shell,
he picks it up
laying it gently
in her palm.

A hint of sea breeze
a sweet smell
of bright yellow frangipani
keep that summer feeling
going
even in the late
golden
autumn days

Whipping up
homemade
rich yellow
ice-cream
their
hands
their
mouths
sticky
full of mango
taste
and of each other.

A summer sun
in those vibrant
yellow shades
from morning
to evening
from pale yellow
to yellowish
hellowish red.

Yellow dress
on a golden
heavenly tanned
woman's body
golden earing
sparkling
in her long blond hair,
those tropical nights
yellow sparkles
in his eyes
sudden need to get up
and cool down
in dark
under the distant
pale-yellow moon.

A tiny yellow ray
finds its way
into their bed,
silky sheets
underneath
hot bodies
moving
passionatelly
unaware
of another
bright yellow
sparkling day.

Looking up
at
the slowly
diminishing
golden clouds
reflecting
yellow power
of the sun
lost under horizon,
she shivers
in the incoming dark,
he is gone.

Went back to mines,
up north,
where sun shines
even more,
another type
of yellow fever
catches him on.

"Don't leave your destiny
in the hands of others,"
she mutters,
closing down the blinds
ignoring
the mellow yellow
of the full moon.
There is one question
she doesn't know
how to answer,
the question
of deep yellow magnitude:
"Is the sun that never ceases to shine
a double edged sword too?"

Another yellow sparkling day,
dark yellow birds
visiting the garden,
the lovely honeyeater
is a regular caller
now too.
Feeding on yellow
grevilleas,
melaleucas,
acacias
and kangaroo paw,
any flower
thas has a tubular shape
containing
golden
yellow
nectar
nectar heaven,
golden yellow heaven
is her own
alone.

Powerful,
threatening
yellow
of summer bushfire
living
in a middle
of hot yellow
desert
the smell of smoke
she always think
about
what she would take with her
if
she needs to run...
a torch with a yellow beam
of light
to keep her
on a track at night.

She is the happiest
having enough time
to walk in sunshine
absorbing
this yellow light of life.
Life is
what you make of it,
work hard,
play hard,
be passionate
and love
what you do.
Yellow fever
catches you too....
